He was always happiest when he was fishing or hunting with his brothers or friends or even just being around them. You knew you were with a dear friend when you were with him. When he was near you, there was always a sense of warmth and security. He opened his heart to everyone and h ad a great southern hospitality. he never met a stranger and loved his family very dearly. He was also preceded in death by his grandfather, Jesse Cagle. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Jesse Wayne and Linda Mae Cagle. Other surviving family members include his Grandma Lillie Mae Cagle, Aunt Ruby Jean Bryant, Aunt Wanda Mills, Uncle James "Duck" Cagle, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are his three brothers, Marty Cagle, Mark Cagle and James Cagle, all of Jonesville, Louisiana.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Sharon Cagle two stepdaughters, Kimberly Smith and Joey Wilson six grandchildren, Cody and Clayton Knight, Jenna Bradshaw, Lauren and Hannah Crawford and Cadyn "Boogie" Phillip. Funeral services were held at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Sunday, May 7. Rita had several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives and friends who survive. Her sister-in-law Judy Shaffner, Las Cruces, along with Colleen Antone, Las Cruces, Darrell and Brenda Antone, Topeka, and Layton and Jana Shaffner, Dallas, also survive. Weaver III of Las Cruces, New Mexico her granddaughter, Kristi Weaver Larson, Enterprise, Alabama. She also was preceded in death by her father and mother, as well as a brother Leland Shaffner of Las Cruces, New Mexico. She married Robert Cafer in 1983 who preceded her in death in 1993. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Deepwater. She graduated from Appleton City High School and went to Kansas City to work as an accountant. Rita grew up in the Deepwater/Lowry City area. She went to be with the Lord May 3, 2006, at Four Seasons Living Center, Sedalia. Clair Co, MOĭaily Democrat, Clinton MO, Rita LaVerne Shaffner was born July 18, 1936, at Deepwater, to Delbert Wesley and Blanche Ellen Tally Shaffner.
John is survived by his wife, Pauline, of the home one daughter, Paula LaNelle Allan, Green Acres, WA one sister, Lorraine Cole, Lexington three grandsons, Lyle Joseph Tuoti, Gregory John Tuoti and Jonathan Jude Tuoti and nine great-grandchildren. Washington Royal Arch Masons, both in Independence Ararat Shrine Temple in Kansas City and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Clinton. Washington Chapter Order of Eastern Star and Mt. He was a member of the Clinton Christian Church a 50-year member of Clinton Masonic Lodge a member of Cryptic Masons 50 and Commandary 6, both in Liberty Mt. He was a machinist for Armco Steel until he retired in 1976. Cado was born in Lexington and had lived in Fairmont for 35 years, and Pine Bluff, AR, for 12 years, before moving to Clinton 12 years ago.
